Marley Cross Flow Fill

Marley cross flow fill is a hanging film type of cooling tower fill that spreads the water into a thin film, flowing over large vertical surfaces and promoting maximum exposure to airflow.

Marley cross flow fill kit — the benefits

This SPX fill, designed and manufactured by Marley, makes installation easier and faster, and offers great cooling efficiency.

Our crossflow kit enables fill pack blocks, drift deliminator sections and air intake louvers to be replaced individually, unlike many other fill packs available in the market that will require complete replacement. The end result is continual better performance, no water splash out and no water drifting through the fan. — Marleyflow.com

BAC Cross Flow Fill

The BAC cross flow fill kit (a.k.a. BAC crossflow fill media kit) is compatible with your BAC cooling tower application. “Minimize your system energy, maintenance, and installation costs with this product.” — Baltimore Aircoil Company

BAC Cross Flow Fill Kit

Commercial HVAC Parts is proud to carry the Baltimore Aircoil Company brand and evaporative cooling products. See a video of our inventory below.

What are the differences between cross flow fill and counter flow fill media?

Two designs, crossflow and counterflow, have to do with the direction of air with respect to the direction of water. With crossflow design, gravity pulls water downward through the fill. The fan, located between the two sections of fill, draws the outside air through the fill horizontally before pushing it upward, creating a perpendicular flow of air and water (cross flow).

Counter flow configuration provides a different air flow water flow combination. Hot water is pumped to the fill’s top, and pipes/nozzles distribute the water across the fill. A fan draws water in the opposite direction of the waterflow, thus the term “counterflow.”

BAC Counter Flow Fill

BAC counter flow fill — a brand you can trust

The BAC counter flow fill kit (a.k.a. BAC counterflow fill media kit) is compatible with your BAC cooling tower application. “BAC is the global leader of innovative evaporative cooling and heat rejection solutions.” — Baltimore Aircoil Company

Commercial HVAC Parts is a supplier of the Baltimore Aircoil Company brand. BAC’s evaporative cooling products include counterflow and crossflow fill media kits that differentiate according to air direction and water direction.

With counterflow configuration, hot water is pumped to the fill’s top, and pipes/nozzles distribute the water across the fill. A fan draws water in the opposite direction of the water flow, thus the term “counterflow.”

This contrasts with the crossflow combination in which gravity pulls water downward through the fill. The fan, located between the two sections of fill, draws the outside air through the fill horizontally before pushing it upward, creating a perpendicular flow of air and water (crossflow).
